Chanel required a digital solution that would house 13 distinct films, each corresponding to different cybersecurity topics. The project’s aim was to provide an engaging, on-brand educational platform for employees to enhance their understanding of cybersecurity in a way that reflects Chanel’s aesthetic.

The Challenge

The challenge was to design an intuitive Learning Management System (LMS) that housed the 13 films while staying aligned with Chanel’s strict brand guidelines and high-end visual identity. It also needed to transform a complex subject, like cybersecurity, into something visually engaging and easy to navigate whilst also testing the users knowledge as they progress.

The Solution

I drew inspiration from Chanel’s iconic aesthetic and conceptualised the design of a virtual Chanel house. Each window in the house represented a module of the cybersecurity curriculum. As users progressed through the chapters, the lights in the windows illuminated, giving a sense of progression and successful navigation through the learning journey. This approach not only made the LMS more interactive but also maintained the luxurious feel of the brand.

The Result

The result was an intuitive and visually appealing Learning Management System that reflected Chanel’s high standards for design. The engaging interface allowed employees to successfully navigate the cybersecurity curriculum in an easy-to-understand, branded environment. The illuminated windows provided clear visual feedback to users on their progress, making the learning experience rewarding and aligned with Chanel's iconic style.
